Saturday 30 November – City North v Aspley
This Saturday athletes from the Aspley Little Athletics will be competing with us. The program can be found here. It will be very much like a regular Saturday competition but we will be scoring the competition between us and Aspley and a winning club will be announced. There is no need to register – just show up prior to 2pm as usual.
We will have HJ and LJ training from 1pm this Saturday as well. Tues and Thurs night training is continuing from 6pm.
Saturday 7 December
Sat 7 Dec will be our last Saturday competition before Christmas. We will resume on Saturday 18 Jan at 3pm. In the second half of the season we start at 3pm given hotter weather.
On 7 Dec we will have 4 events followed by presentation of certificates and medals for those who participated in the Pentathlon last Saturday. There will also be a free sausage sizzle for all athletes.
Regional Championships
The Regional Championships is an individual event competition which is to be held from Fri 7 Feb to Sun 9 Feb at Bowden Park, Geebung. The program and available events per age group is here as well as the program for the event. Athletes may participate in a maximum of 5 events. All athletes are encouraged to participate. This is the qualifying event for the State Champs to be held in mid March 2014. Registration for the Regional Champs will start to be taken this coming Saturday and registration closes on 25 Jan 14. It is best to register prior to Christmas. Cost is $10 per athlete and the registration forms will be in the canteen.
