17 Jul 13 - Dates and fees published
We have recently held a committee meeting and we now have some dates for the upcoming season :
Sat 23rd August - Sign On Day 2:30-4:30 (Not a competition day)
Sat 31st August & 7th September 2013 - Come and Try Days ($10 refundable if joining)
Our competition will commence at 2pm on Saturday 31st August 2013, finishing about 5pm.
The committee has also determined the fees for the year, these can be found on the Fees Page. We were forced to increase the fees by $5 per person to cover additional expenses required to process registrations. Uniform prices are the same as last season.
Further details will be provided after the comittee meets again in early August 2013.
19th Mar 2013 - Final training
19th March 2013 - Final Training Night
Our final training for the 2012/3 season was on Tuesday 19th March 2013. We expect to start the 2013/4 season close to the end of August 2013. An exact date will be provided when the committee meets next time.

City North Little Athletics - Training Tonight
We have been advised that tonight is the first night of training at Windsor Park for the Brothers junior Rugby teams so it is going to be busy down there. All of our athletes attending should meet at our equipment shed.
We will have coaches there and we will be able to train but it will be busy and parking will likely be at a premium.
This is the only occasion during the year in which there will be any overlap between our season and Brothers.
State Champs
The final list of athletes for State Champs can be found here. We will not have a tent at the stadium and athletes will be responsible for own warm-up. You should get to the stadium early and find the marshaling area. Events can be brought forward by 1/2 hour and if they are the first call would be much earlier that that. Full uniform with age patch, number, IGA badge and Medbank badge must be worn. Skins must be worn inside out.
Spike use is limited and can only be put on near the start line. The spike rule document can be found here.
Good luck to all of our 47 competitors at the State Champs. Check the QLAA website (www.qlaa.asn.au) for any updates on the event or if you wish to check timetable etc (timetable has earlier been distributed).

Just a reminder that the AGM is 2pm this Saturday, with events including cross country race from 3pm and Trophy Day at 4:30pm. If you are willing to help out on the committee or are interested and want to know more please attend the AGM.

9 Mar 2013 - Championships are ON
Windsor Park appears to have dried out enough, so we will be having our Championship competition day today as scheduled, please arrive at 2:45pm for a 3pm start.
This will be followed by our break up and presentation day next weekend.

Club Records updated
Congratulations to Nick Beall, Billie Cooper Manger-Ford and Paris Shield who have broken Club Records in the past few weeks and months.

Week starting 4th Mar 2013
Training - Tuesday 5 March - Cancelled
As at this morning there were still large amounts of water on the ground at Windsor Park - the ground is saturated so the water is not draining away. As a result we have had to cancel the training session for Tuesday night.
Thursday's training should be right to proceed at 6pm.
Club Champs - this Saturday 9 March
As a result of the cancellation of the first day of the Club Champs this past Saturday, the event will now just be a 5 event competition to be held this Saturday 9 March. We will use the program that would have been used this past Saturday which can be found here.
Hopefully we'll have some clear weather this Saturday.
Trophy Day - Saturday 16 March
Our last Saturday of the season will be our trophy day at Windsor Park on 16 March. We will have some races, including a cross-country race on the day followed by our presentations. More details to come.
State Champs - Fri to Sun 22 - 24 March
The State Champs will be held in Brisbane on Friday 22 March through to Sunday 24 March at the State Athletics Centre at Nathan in the large stadium. The list of qualifying athletes can be found here together with the program here. Some of our coaches will be present to help with warm-up at this event but not for all events. Athletes should arrive in plenty of time for their events and bear in mind events can be called forward. The usual uniform and spike rules apply.

Training Thu 7 Mar - Event still on
Training for Thursday 7th March 2013
Windsor Park appears to have dried out so we will be able to train this Thursday night from 6pm. We will have a number of coaches in attendance.
Saturday competition, Club Championships, is also proceeding at 3pm this coming Saturday.

2 Mar 2013 - Event Cancelled
Saturday 2nd March 2013 - EVENT CANCELLED
Due to wet weather that is forecast to continue throughout Saturday the competition event we have scheduled has been cancelled for the 2nd of March 2013.
This will mean that our City North Championship that consisted of 10 events will now only have 5 events instead of 10 (this happened last year as well).
Hopefully the rain will clear and next week will be able to have the final Saturday competition event of our season which will be our Championship next week. We will most likely modify the scheduled events as a consequence.
We will be having our breakup, trophy and final get together on the following week, which will end the Athletics season for 2012/13.
