Regional Championships - Fri 1 Feb to Sun 3 Feb 2013
Our most important competition of the year is the Regional Championships to be held at Redcliffe from Friday night 1 Feb 2013 to Sun 3 Feb 2013. It is an individual competition and athletes can compete in a maximum of 5 events. The schedule can be found here. All athletes should nominate and pick their favourite events.
The last date for nominations is Saturday 19 Jan 2013. As many families are still on holidays then it is best to nominate prior to Xmas. Nominations can be taken in the clubhouse this Saturday and from then on at training on Tues or Thurs and Saturdays. Again best to nominate before Xmas. This event is against the other 6 clubs in our region and is the qualifier for the State Champs in March. There will be no competition at Windsor Park on Sat 2 Feb.
Training Tonight
We will be having training tonight from 6pm. There may be a storm. If there is a thunderstorm around 6pm then training will be cancelled - if in doubt text or ring 0418 621 654. Any of our parents who recently did the coaching course who would like to instruct in an event tonight or at a future training please attend and you can take a group of athletes.
State Relay Training - All athletes who have qualified for State Relays should attend Tuesday night training to train with teamates particularly in the running events.
Club Pentathlon
The club pentathlon will be on Saturday 1 December from 2:30pm and the program will be at the clubhouse this Saturday. There is no need to register for this event just attend on the day. Results will be announced on Sat 8 Dec which will be our last day of competition prior to Xmas. We resume on Saturday 12 Jan 2013.
