The program for this Saturday can be found here. The start time is 2:30pm. There is the possiblity of some rain. If there are just isolated showers we will proceed. Only in the case of steady rain would we abandon the competition. If in doubt ring 0418 621 654.
Training Thursday Night - 18 October - 6pm
We will have a number of coaches in attendance tonight and will hold training in distance, walks, hurdles and a variety of field events.
Regional Relays - Saturday 10 November - Register Now
The Regional Relays is one of our biggest events for the first half of the season. It will be held on Saturday 10 November at Bowden Park, Geebung. We have started to take nominations and will do so on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays up to the 27th of October.
The nominations close on Saturday 27 October. There will be no Saturday competitions at Windsor Park on the day of Regional Relays. Athletes can nominate in up to 3 field events and 2 running relays Athletes will be placed into at least 1 running relay. Athletes just need to nominate and they will be placed in teams. A information flyer can be found here about the event with a program found here. Further information can also be obtained at the club. The nomination fee is $10. All athletes should register if possible.
The program for the Relay Day is also attached. Again athletes just need to nominate by 27 October - we will place athletes into teams.
Coaching Course for Interested Parents
We will be appproaching Queensland Little Athletics to hold a coaching course at Windsor Park later this season. If any parents are interested in participating in a coaching course please let me know. The course would be conducted on a Sunday and takes about 5 hours and covers virtually all Little Athletics events. It is a very good course and a number of our parents have taken it in the past. We have several parents interested now and if we have about 5 more interested we can hold the course. Please respond with your interest by email or to me at Windsor Park.
