City North Little Athletics - Saturday 26 November

Pentathlon - Saturday 26 November - 3pm sharp

 
This Saturday 26 November is the club pentathlon and the program can be found here.  There is no need to register.  All registered athletes should participate and just need to show up at Windsor Park to compete.   It is very important to note though that we will be having a 3pm sharp start time.  The hurdles will be up from about 2pm so athletes can practice from that time and we'll start warm up at about 2:30 but first event will be 3pm so arrive early.  Given that points are awarded for performance in each event it is essential to be there on time to participate in all of the events.  


Medals and certificates will be awarded to all participants. 

Hopefully the weather will be fine but if in doubt as some rain is predicted ring 0418 621 654 or check out this websites Latest News.  If we have to postpone because of rain we will hold the Pentathlon on Saturday 3 December.  Rain in the morning will not cause us to postpone if it is not raining in the afternoon.

 
Training - Thursday at 6pm

Training is on tonight - Thursday from 6pm to 7:15pm at Windsor Park.  Provided it is not raining there will be hurdles training as well as training in other events.  A number of coaches will be in attendance.  As long as there is no significant rain we will proceed with training.

Regional Championships

The Regional Championships, which is an individual event competition, will be held at the Arana Club from Friday 3 Feb to Sunday 5 Feb 2012.  Athletes can nominate in up to 5 events of their choice (as long as available in their age group) and the cost is $10.  Athletes only need to attend when there events are on.  All athletes are encouraged to compete - it is not about qualifying for the state championships but trying to achieve a personal best which is what an event like this gives every athlete an opportunity to do.  There will be no competition at Windsor Park that Saturday.  The program and the nomination form can be found clicking here.  The deadline for nominating is 21 January and given that this is very soon after the Xmas break it is best to try to nominate prior to Xmas.  This can be done at the club at any training session or on Saturday.
