City North Little Athletics - Week of 31 October

Training - Tuesday and Thursday

We will be having training this week at Windsor Park on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6pm to 7:15pm.  We will be practicing relay running at these sessions given Regional Relays is this coming Saturday 5 Nov.  All athletes, whether or not they have nominated, should try to attend one or both sessions.   We will have a number of coaches in attendance on both nights.  We have had 2 Thursday sessions so far and the numbers have been lower than Tues night so athletes attending on Thursday have received some very good attention and training from the coaches.

Regional Relays - Saturday 5 November 2011 - Redcliffe - 8:30am

The Regional Relays are this Saturday from 8:30am. The location is Langdon Park, Cnr Mabel St & Oxley Ave, Redcliffe click here for a Google Map of the location.   A very helpful document prepared by one of our Team Managers David Storor can be found here.  It sets out the time of events for age groups and the teams - athletes do 1 or 2 running relay events and 3 field events.  Please try to arrive 1/2 hour before your child's first event.  Team members are relying on you to be there so please arrive 1/2 hour before the first event to allow time for marshalling and warm-up.  The program can also be found by clicking here.

Please remember that full uniform - short and shirt must be worn with number,age patch and IGA patch.  "Skins" must be worn inside out because of sponsorship issues.
 
There will not be a competition this Saturday at Windsor Park because of Regional Relays.

Club Pentathlon - Saturday 26 November 2011 - 3pm

We will be having a Pentathlon at Windsor Park from 3pm on Saturday 26 November.  This is open to all City North registered athletes.  A flyer about this event can be found by clicking here is attached.  Points will be awarded to all athletes who compete - medals will be awarded to all athletes with the top 3 in each age group to receive 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals.  The program of events is being prepared but it will be a mixture of events in each age group.  There is no need to register - just show up on the day.
