Training Thursday 30 January - 6pm
Windsor Park has recovered reasonably well from the heavy rain so we will hold a training session at Windsor Park tomorrow night - Thursday, from 6pm. A number of coaches will be in attendance.
Regional Champs - This Weekend - Redcliffe
There is no competition at Windsor Park this Saturday as the Regional Champs are proceeding this weekend. The program and the list of athletes and events has been circulated (see a recent Latest News article). A further copy of the program can be found here. Please attend at least an hour before start of event as events can be moved forward. Full uniform needs to be worn with IGA and Medibank patch, age patch and number. Skins need to be worn inside out (so the manufacturer's name is not seen) and the use of spikes is strictly regulated - see attached sheet.
Some event changes have been requested for a few athletes from the list of athletes and events which was circulated last week. These requests have been forwarded to the Queensland Little Athletics office but that office has been without power this week so no confirmation has been yet received that the events have been altered. As soon as we are advised, the final list of athletes with events will be circulated. For those who did not request any changes please proceed with the list that was circulated last week which shows all athletes with events.
Our club is responsible for helping at the long jump events and we also need parents to help with timekeeping and place judging so we will be asking parents to help out throughout the weekend. This is an important obligation for our club to fulfill.
We will have a number of our tents at the event and parents should try to bring chairs for themselves and children. There will be a canteen at the ground.
